TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By booking a room or item of equipment, you agree to the terms and conditions below.
EQUIPMENT
Equipment Collection and Return
- Equipment must be returned the next working day at the allocated return time.
- In unique circumstances (non-busy periods) your booking may be extended. Contact technical staff directly to arrange this.
- If equipment is returned late or if you fail to collect a booked item, your booking privileges will automatically suspended. Please remember, by failing to collect an item or return an item late, you can disrupt other bookings.
- Equipment that must remain on-site (e.g. studio microphones) can be left secured in a studio. Please let technical staff know so they can collect the next working day.
- Make sure you remove any content from audio/video cards. At point of return it will be assumed the memory card/disc can be erased.
Damage/Loss
You agree to look after the equipment and take all necessary measures to prevent damage or loss.
Equipment should be shielded from water and should be stored in a secure location when left unattended.
If any item is damaged, you may be required to pay for the repair/parts cost.
Where the damage / loss is covered under the University insurance, the user will be required to pay the cost of the excess.
ROOMS
Maintenance
· Rooms should be kept tidy and emergency exits should remain clear at all times.
· Strictly no food or drink is permitted in studios and practice rooms.
· If you are changing the configuration of a room, it must be returned back before the start of the next session.
· Equipment in the rooms should not be moved to other locations. This includes drum kits, mics, mic stands etc
Access
· Room access is bookable depending on the modules you are enrolled in. Rooms may be booked from 09:00 - 22:00.
· Keys for SARC rooms can be found in the Smart Key Box at the basement of SARC. Music building keys should be signed out from the appropriate school office and returned after your session. After hours key returns can be put the key dropbox outside each office.
· Keys can also be signed out from QUB security at the back of the Administration building, Main Site. You will require your student/staff card.
· To enquire about Film Studio and Editing Suite availability, contact the Film technicians.
Out of Hours Access
If working after 7pm weekdays or during the weekend you must inform security that you are in the building. This is so they know the building is occupied if there is a fire or safety issue. Also inform security when you are leaving.

Lone Working
- Lone working is discouraged, however the School understands that this is sometimes unavoidable. Students are permitted to work alone or in isolation provided the activity is not hazardous and low risk (eg editing in a studio or computer suite).
- Please get in touch with the Student Guidance Centre if you have any existing medical conditions that might require additional support for lone working. For example, some forms of diabetes or epilepsy.

Policies and Health & Safety:
- All students MUST complete a risk assessment if the activity is anything other than low risk. Risk Assessments should be completed and sent to your lecturer. Low risk activity example: Using an audio recorder to do an interview inside a campus building. Contact your lecturer for more information about risk assessments.

- Failure to follow any of these terms will result in a reduction of booking privileges or possibly a ban. The school can refuse access to facilities to those who do not abide these conditions.

Siso Software Limited are not responsible or liable in any way for any errors, damages or any other loss caused by your usage of this system. For the avoidance of doubt this includes any loss howsoever suffered including negligence or fraud except where such negligence causes death or personal injury.
